The older gameport based TSW and TSW2 defaulted to combined mode and required this switch (or an adapter kit in the case of the TSW2) to enable split axis pedals (which are more realistic). We still offer this switch if required, though it is probably a good idea to consider upgrading the controller to USB instead.
